In this conservation village, tucked away on Tofts Lane behind the primary school, the Village Hall is a bright and welcoming venue available for hire to all, both from the village and elsewhere. It is ideal for parties, meetings, exhibitions, training courses and social events.
The main hall is slightly larger than a badminton court and is licensed for a maximum of 140 people. But if you are planning an event where people are to be seated and still want a bit of space for dancing, then 100 is the maximum. An outdoor area adds flexibility and gives plenty of space for a marquee for wedding receptions as well as opportunities for children’s parties or summer barbecues on the sunny side of the Hall.
FacilitiesThe Hall has disabled access and facilities, a public address system with induction loop, a music licence so copyright music can be played at any event, a piano, and all the usual facilities of a well maintained village hall. As a bonus, doors in the picture windows give direct access onto the large lawn which can be used by hirers. The car park takes about twelve vehicles with other parking on the main street.
The Hall is used weekly by the Primary School and the Bowls Club. Regular monthly users are the Coffee and Cake Club, the Parish Council and the Women’s Institute. At all other times, weekdays and weekends, it is available for hire on either a regular basis or one-off occasions. Equipment for a Table Tennis Club is also available.
